Objective To analyze the factors influencing genital tract group B Streptococcus(GBS)infections in pregnant women in the perinatal period. Methods The clinical data of 1500 perinatal pregnant women who were examined in Liaocheng Maternal and Child Health Hospital from July 2022 to June 2023 were retrospectively selected. They were divided into positive(n=171)and negative(n=1329)groups according to whether they were infected with GBS.Compared the age, education level, abortion history, reproductive tract infection, and preconception examination of pregnant women in the two groups, and analyze the influencing factors of perinatal pregnant women with reproductive tract GBS infection. Results There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in age of perinatal pregnant women, history of miscarriage, reproductive tract infection, and pre-pregnancy checkups(all P<0.05).Age≥35 years, history of miscarriage, reproductive infections, and no preconception checkup were all independent risk factors for GBS infection in the reproductive tract of perinatal pregnant women(OR=2.546,3.156,3.224,3.462,all P<0.05).Conclusion Age,history of miscarriage, reproductive tract infections, and pre-pregnancy checkups are all important factors affecting GBS infection in pregnant women in the perinatal period, which tends to increase the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes, and further enhancement of perinatal health care is needed to reduce the risks of bacterial infections for both mothers and infants.
