摘 要:Prior to the founding of the Communist Party of China(CPC),various moral stances on territory emerged in Chinese history, including the Confucian ideology of"benevolence extending from the ruler to the people,"the imperial logic of advocating virtuous governance over the world,"and the nationalistic condemnations of imperialism and predatory nationalism. This paper explores how,in the nearly thirty years before gaining national power, the CPC's territorial ideology drew upon various historical ideological elements and introduced Marxist-Leninist concepts of social revolution and the justice of class struggle. The CPC's own survival, development, and expansion were accompanied by diverse territorial actions, and conceptually, there emerged staged emphases on the"class-state,""nation-state,"and the"class-nation-state,"leading to a complex overlay of multiple elements in the CPC's conception of national territory.
