摘　　要：诺贝尔文学奖得主古尔纳的小说《海边》从两位东非流散者的回忆视角出发,讲述其离开桑给巴尔的痛苦过程,并通过故事讲述化解了家族仇恨。本文通过印度洋季风贸易、世界主义及水域身份认同等概念,探讨《海边》如何围绕东非的具体语境构建历史意识,从东非流散史中探询当代流散的前因后果,发掘前现代流散经验给当代流散者的启示,从而找寻重建身份认同的可能。古尔纳的流散写作跳出了后殖民叙事框架,真正实现了将东非作为方法。The Nobel laureate Abdulrazak Gurnah's novel By the Sea begins with the recollections of two East African exiles and narrates the arduous process of their departure from Zanzibar,ending with the resolution of familial enmity through storytelling.Through concepts such as the Indian Ocean monsoon trade,cosmopolitanism,and water-based identity,this essay explores how the novel constructs historical consciousness in the specific context of East Africa.The novel investigates the causes and consequences of contemporary diaspora within the history of exile from East Africa,discusses the insights pre-modern diaspora experiences can offer to contemporary exiles,and probes into the possibilities for reconstructing identity.Gurnah's diasporic writing transcends the framework of postcolonial narrative by using East Africa as the method.
