摘　　要：《英格兰银行东南视角下的空中鸟瞰图》由画家约瑟夫·甘迪在建筑师约翰·索恩的委托下创作而成,是建筑师一生中最重要的建筑作品——英格兰银行的图绘表达。约翰·索恩为何将即将建成的作品呈现为废墟?如何在一种整体文脉中来认识此类图像?本文从“废墟意象”和“设计变革”两方面,讨论索恩所处的时代背景和索恩自身的设计思想与图像之间的关联性,揭示图像背后的知识脉络与设计思想问题。Aerial cutaway view of the Bank of England from the south-east was created by the painter Joseph Gandy,and commissioned by John Soane.The Bank of England was the most important work in the architect's life.Why did John Soane present the soon-to-be-built works as ruins?How to recognise such images in a holistic context?From the perspectives of"ruins imagery"and"design revolution",this paper discusses the era in which Soane lived and the correlation between Soane's own design thinking and the image,revealing the intellectual context and design thinking issues behind the image.
