摘  要:当代爱尔兰剧作家玛丽娜·卡尔的戏剧《猫泽边》以爱尔兰中部沼泽为背景,讲述女主人公赫斯特誓死捍卫自己代表的女性家族成员在猫泽的生存空间的故事。首先,卡尔揭露了“父亲的土地”的弊端,点明爱尔兰传统土地观与“凯尔特之虎”时期经济扩张影响下的新土地观均由男权话语书写。其次,卡尔发现“母亲的土地”并奏响其抗争之歌,展现出女性与土地之间更为深刻的羁绊连结。卡尔继而将变幻莫测的沼泽、女性的力量源泉、爱尔兰民间传说中的超自然元素与赫斯特突破生死边界的抉择相结合,推翻了20世纪初爱尔兰文艺复兴时期戏剧关于土地、母亲与爱尔兰性之间的传统话语逻辑,对“凯尔特之虎”时期的土地观进行了全新书写。Contemporary Irish playwright Marina Carr's play By the Bog of Cats,set in the Irish Midland,tells the story of the heroine,Hester,who vows to defend to death the living space for her matrilineal family in the Bog of Cats.First,Carr uncovers the limitations of the “father's land” ideology,emphasizing that both the traditional Irish land ethic and the emerging ethic influenced by economic expansion during the Celtic Tiger Era,are constructed with a patriarchal discourse.Second,Carr identifies the “mother's land” and leads a chorus of resistance,showcasing the unbreakable bond between women and the land.Third,Carr merges the unpredictable bog,the source of matriarchal power and the supernatural elements of Irish folklore with Hester's transgression of the life-death binary,overthrowing early 20th-century Irish Literary Revival dramaturgical logic about the connection between land,motherhood and Irishness,and thereby presenting a new narrative of the land ethic during the Celtic Tiger Era.
