摘　　要：Professor He Shunguo(何顺果,July18,1944-March 8,2023)is a famous historian in World history and American history in China.He studied and worked at Peking University for nearly 60 years,dedicating his lifelong energy to historical research and teaching.He had served as the Vice Chairman of the American History Research Association of China(AHRAC,中国美国史研究会),a memberof the Council of the Historical Theory Research Association of China(中国史学理论研究会),and a memberof the Chinese Society forthe Study of Modern World History(中国世界近现代史研究会).He was also an expert in the National Textbook Review Committee for Primary and Secondary Schools(全国中小学教材审定委员会)and had been invited to serve as the Executive Editor of Clio at Beida(《北大史学》),an editorial board member of World History(《世界历史》),and an editorial board member of TheChinese Journal of American Studies(《美国研究》).
