从指尖到纸间:数字时代何以阅读纸书——来自中国青年群体的经验证据

摘　　要：每一次技术创新都重构着阅读形态和社会秩序。区别于传统报纸和音像制品的式微,传统的纸质图书实现了非数字化生存。文章试图从中国青年群体纸书阅读偏好的动因中去寻找答案。基于价值的逻辑,结合推拉锚定理论框架对青年读者纸质阅读选择意愿的影响因素进行深入探究。研究发现,纸书的阅读习惯、心流体验价值、社会价值是读者纸质阅读选择的主要动因,数字隐忧、纸质图书的物理体验价值、功能体验价值对读者选择纸质阅读没有显著的影响。数字阅读和纸质阅读并非零和博弈,纸质阅读路径依赖是纸书非数字化生存的内在动力。青年群体选择阅读纸质媒介注重“里子”和“面子”:一方面,重视纸质阅读内在的心流体验:另一方面,也关注纸质阅读展现的身份与社会价值。但对青年群体来说,对纸书物理形态的偏爱更多是种怀旧情感,收藏与交换行为也更多是一种体现象征意义的展演。研究通过对青年群体的考察,论证了纸媒不会消亡的动因。这为传统出版的非数字化生存提供了底层动力证据,也回答了纸书如何更好地走进青年群体的问题。Every technological innovation reshapes reading patterns and social order.In contrast to the decline of newspapers and audiovisual products,traditional printed books have managed to survive in a non-digital presence.This study investigates the profound motivations behind Chinese youth s preference for paper reading in the digital era,examining the key factors that influence their choices and empirically explaining the continued prevalence of printed books in the digital age.It aims to deepen our understanding of the logic underpinning the non-digitized survival of traditional printed books,particularly in contrast to the decline of traditional media such as newspapers and audiovisual products.Utilizing a mixed research methods,the research is based on the Push-Pull-Mooring theoretical framework and Perceived Value Theory,integrating theoretical deduction with focus group interviews to develop a theoretical model of the factors influencing the youth readers willingness to choose paper reading.A questionnaire survey was conducted,yielding 1090 valid responses,which were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling to test hypotheses.The findings indicate that reading habits,flow experience value,and social value are the primary motivations for readers to choose paper reading.Conversely,digital worries,physical experience value,and functional experience value of printed books do not significantly influence readers choices.The study underscores that digital reading and paper reading are not mutually exclusive;the path dependence of paper reading serves as an intrinsic driving force for the non-digitized survival of printed books.Youth engagement with printed medium reflects dual considerations of substantive merit(‘inner value’)and social presentation(‘external image’),valuing both the intrinsic flow experience of paper reading and the identity and social value it conveys.However,their preference for the physical form of printed books is largely driven by nostalgic sentiment,with books collecting and exchangin
