摘 要:本文基于熊彼特创新理论分析数字贸易对传统贸易的五大创新,选取2007—2022年270个地级市的面板数据,利用双重差分方法检验数字贸易对城市碳减排效应及其创新驱动机制。研究表明:数字贸易显著促进城市碳减排;数字贸易提升了城市创新水平,并且通过创新驱动技术效应、结构效应、规模效应和集聚效应,进而降低城市碳排放水平;区域异质性分析表明,东中部地区、大型规模城市的数字贸易的碳减排效应更为显著;特征异质性分析表明,高人力资本水平、高财政支持和高城镇化水平的城市数字贸易的碳减排效应更为显著;产业异质性分析表明,非资源型、高第三产业占比的城市和千兆城市的数字贸易碳减排效应显著。This study draws on Schumpeter’s theory of innovation to examine the five key innovations introduced by digital trade into traditional trade.It employs panel data from 270 prefecture-level cities over the period 2007–2022 and utilizes the difference-in-differences method to assess the impact of digital trade on urban carbon emission reduction and the mechanisms through which innovation drives this effect.The research identifies the following key findings:Firstly,digital trade has been found to substantially promote urban carbon emission reduction.Secondly,the analysis demonstrates that digital trade enhances the innovation capacity of cities and facilitates carbon emission reduction through four primary innovation-driven mechanisms:technological effects,structural effects,scale effects,and agglomeration effects.Thirdly,regional heterogeneity analysis reveals that cities in the eastern and central regions,as well as those classified as large-scale,experience more pronounced carbon emission reduction effects from digital trade.Fourthly,heterogeneity analysis based on urban characteristics indicates that cities characterized by high levels of human capital,strong fiscal support,and high urbanization rates exhibit particularly notable carbon emission reduction effects when adopting digital trade practices.Lastly,industry heterogeneity analysis highlights that the carbon emission reduction impact of digital trade is especially significant in cities that are non-resource-dependent,have a high share of tertiary industries,and are designated as gigabit cities.
