In recent years, the incidence of cervical spondylosis has been increasing year by year due to the change in people′s life styles and showing a younger trend, and the quality of life of many people has been seriously affected as a result. As an early stage of intervertebral disc degeneration, neck type cervical spondylosis has stiffness and pain in the neck as the main clinical symptom, and timely treatment can effectively prevent the condition from further developing into other types of cervical spondylosis.Abdominal acupuncture is a kind of abdominal holographic acupuncture based on the theory of Chinese medicine, which can achieve the goal of treating the whole body by acupuncture in the abdomen only, and it has the advantages of significant therapeutic effect, painless and easy to be accepted by the patients, etc.Currently, the research status of abdominal acupuncture for neck type cervical spondylosis is mainly based on clinical research, and is mostly applied in combination with local treatment. In the future,we should enrich the outcome indexes of clinical studies on this basis, and focus on studying the targets of function and mechanisms of abdominal acupuncture,in order to provide some references for the treatment of neck type cervical spondylosis.
