摘 要:抗日战争胜利后,中国近代小报的生存环境变得愈加艰难。上海方型周报在面临资金缺乏、人力不足、政策压力及市场竞争激烈的情况下,仍从众多报刊中脱颖而出,成为战后初期上海最为流行的通俗小报,并带来一股“周报潮”的文化潮流。究其原因,一方面是因为方型周报继承了传统小报注重休闲逸乐的编纂特点,同时与战后社会大众的文化消费需求及心理情感相契合;另一方面则受到战后报刊市场、出版政策以及读者群体心态的极大影响。方型周报兴盛的原因不仅揭露出近代小报具有超越“市民文化载体”以外的价值效用,更牵涉出当时的时代变局、行业环境和大众读者心态。After the victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression,it became even harder to for modern Chinese tabloids to survive.Despite financial difficulties,labor shortages,suppression from policies,and intense market competition,square-format weeklies in Shanghai managed to stand out among numerous publications,and became the most popular tabloids in early post-war Shanghai,bringing about a cultural phenomenon called the“weekly tide”.There are two reasons behind this.First,square-format weeklies maintained the editorial characteristics of traditional tabloids that focus on leisure and pleasure while aligning with cultural consumption needs as well as psychological and emotional demands of the public in the post-war period.Second,it was influenced by the post-war newspaper market,publishing policies,and the mindset of the readers.The reason for the prosperity of square-format weeklies not only reveals Chinese modern tabloids'value beyond being“the carrier of civic culture”,but also reflects the changes of the times,the industrial environment,and the mindset of the public readers after the war.
