The construction of long cantilever bent caps on urban elevated bridges typically requires the installa-tion of scaffolding. However,in urban road construction, due to limitations in space and traffic conditions, the in-stallation of traditional scaffolding is often difficult to implement.Taking the reconstruction and expansion project of Zhenjiang-Jurong Section of G312 National Highway as an example, the traffic flow of this section is large, and the traditional construction method of support is not suitable for large-scale application. Therefore, based on the actual situation of the field,a non-ground support structure for the construction of the large cantilever prestressed bent cap is proposed.By constructing a numerical analysis model and relying on Midas Civil software to evaluate its stability, the economic benefits were also analyzed. The results indicate that the support system has good con-struction stability.By setting up templates on the support structure to complete the construction of the bent cap,not only does it effectively solve the serious obstruction problem caused by the landing scaffoldings in the con-struction of large cantilever bent caps to traffic, but it is also convenient to use and brings significant economic benefits.
