“保存国粹乃长乐”——顾廷龙先生与图书馆事业的因缘述略

摘　　要：本文通过追溯顾廷龙早年修习旧学,从事目录版本之学,以及与江苏省第二图书馆、国立北平图书馆的结缘,叙述了其入职燕京大学图书馆后,从事中国古书采购,及编纂《章氏四当斋藏书目录》的经验积累,概述了其主持私立合众图书馆14年间的作为和贡献,认为顾先生作为20世纪中国图书馆事业名家,既有为服务图书馆读者的奉献精神,又有“文史学者型”馆长所独具的治学眼光。This article traces the academic trajectory of Gu Tinglong,from his early engagement with traditional bibliography to his associations with the Second Library of Jiangsu Province and National Library of Peiping.Drawing upon historical materials,it describes Gu’s experience in the acquisition of ancient Chinese books and the compilation of the Catalogue of Zhang Yu’s Sidangzhai Collection following his appointment at the Yanjing University Library.It also outlines his achievements and contributions during his 14-year tenure at the Shanghai Private United Library.In conclusion,Gu,as a prominent figure in modern Chinese librarianship,had both the dedication to serving library patrons and the unique vision of a scholarly librarian of literature and history.
