In the realm of fictional art,the selection of narrative perspective determines the presentation of the narrative text and also influences the aesthetic characteristics and style construction of the novel. As a non-conventional narrative perspective,second-person narration alters the identity composition of"narrator-narrative text-narratee"in the conventional narrative communication pattern.Through the establishment of a"virtual narrator",the author modifies the situation of being restricted by the text narrator in previous creations and broadens author's control over narrative communication. However, the reader's right of intervention in the text is weakened due to the distinct identity distance between the reader and the narratee. The reader may either abandon their own subjectivity to play the"implied reader"in the author's mind or be directly excluded from the narrative communication.Through this transformation, secondperson narration not only disrupts the existing narrative communication model but also poses a challenge to traditional narrative theories and can even be regarded as a challenge to the theories of"reader-centeredness"and"the death of the author".
