翻译叙事视阈下侨批文化再建构研究──以汕头“西堤公园侨批纪念地碑记”英译为例

摘  要:侨批档案既是世界记忆遗产,又是海丝文化遗存,是中外一体跨海和平交往的共同历史的民间书写,是海丝沿线国家共同的文化创造。汕头“西堤公园侨批纪念地碑记”是侨批文化外宣的典型范例,基于翻译叙事理论对其文本进行分析,其译文文本运用时空建构、文本素材选择性采用、标示式建构、参与者再定位四种策略,通过文本层面和社会语境层面的叙事协调,实现了历史记忆与时代语境相契合的侨批文化再建构,推动了民间历史档案跨文化叙事传播,激活了“海洋命运共同体”国际话语空间。Qiaopi archives are not only documentary heritage of the Memory of the World,but al-so cultural heritage of the Maritime Silk Road.As a form of folk writing that documents the shared history of cross-sea and peaceful exchanges between China and foreign countries,Qiaopi constitutes a collective cultural creation among countries along the Maritime Silk Road.The“Memory of the World:Qiaopi Commemoration Stele”in the Xidi Park in Shantou exemplifies the international publicity of Qiaopi culture.Based on the narrative theory in translation,this paper investigates the text of the ste-le and its English translation,which employs four strategies:spatio-temporal construction,selective ap-propriation of textual materials,framing by labeling,and repositioning of participants.Through narra-tive coordination at both the textual and social contextual levels,this reconstruction aligns historical memory with contemporary context,facilitates the cross-cultural narrative dissemination of folk histori-cal archives,and activates the international discourse space of“a maritime community with a shared future”.
