梅贻琦大学教育思想的核心理念与价值启示

摘　　要：梅贻琦作为近代中国著名的教育家,其大学教育思想核心理念体现在塑造道德人格、锻造大师以及民主治校三个维度。道德人格维度以“通识为本”支撑道德人格,以体育劳育美育构建道德人格,以“知情志”共同发展道德人格;锻造大师维度倡导尊师重在尊严与人格,择经明行修者为师,大师是“大爱”之人师;民主治校维度提出君者善群共治、学术自由自治、教授治校原则。其终极价值体现在“明德”“新民”与“止于至善”的“大学之道”,所谓明德,即要自知者明、修己为德、由己及人;所谓新民,即要以己化群、友爱共生、相位相育、相方相苞;所谓止于至善,即要克己慎独、去私重公、去伪存真。其当代价值开显有利于新时代大学教师自觉弘扬教育家精神,以德立身、以德立学、以德施教,做“人师”与“经师”相统一的“大先生”。As a famous educator in modern China,the core concept of Mei Yiqi s university education thought is embodied in three dimensions:shaping moral personality,forging masters,and governing the school democratically.The moral personality dimension supports moral personality with“general education”,constructs moral personality with sports and labor education,and develops moral personality with“knowledge,emotion and will”.The dimension of forging masters advocates respecting teachers in dignity and personality,choosing those who are good in both character and scholarship as teachers,and that masters are role model teachers of“great love”.The dimension of democratic governance puts forward the principles of good governance,academic freedom and autonomy,and professor governance.Its ultimate value is embodied in the“way of university”of“Mingde”,“Xinmin”and“Zhiyuzhishan”.The so-called“Mingde”means knowing yourself,cultivating yourself as a virtue,and putting yourself in another s place;the so-called“Xinmin”means being on friendly terms with others,living in harmony,and helping each other;the so-called“Zhiyuzhishan”means being strict with oneself,being cautious when alone,abandoning selfishness for the public interest,and eliminating the false and retaining the true.Its contemporary value is conducive to university teachers consciously carrying forward the spirit of educators and establishing themselves as great masters in the new era.
