社会资本视角下的侨乡社会发展研究——以广东省揭西县美德村为例

摘　　要：广东省揭西县美德村作为一个历史悠久的侨乡,以悠久的宗族历史和海外迁移的传统为基础,构建起规模可观、机制成熟的跨国移民网络,在华侨华人的帮扶下,将侨乡社会资本转化为符号资本、文化资本和经济资本,为自身的发展培育了强大的原生动力。然而,在日新月异的海内外社会环境中,美德村陷入转型困境,难以有效转化侨乡社会资本。为此,新时期美德村的发展,需要多方主体共谋出路,以“重归于侨”为主线,凝聚力量,形成共识,将侨乡社会的发展根植于中国乡土传统和海内外社会关系中。Meide Village in Jiexi County,Guangdong Province,is a historic hometown of overseas Chinese.It has established a sizable and well-structured transnational migration network based on its long-standing lineage history and traditions of overseas migration.With support from overseas Chinese,the village has transformed its social capital into symbolic,cultural,and economic capital,fostering strong intrinsic motivation for development.However,amidst rapidly changing domestic and international social environments,Meide Village has encountered difficulties in transformation,hard to effectively converting its social capital of overseas Chinese hometown.To address these challenges,Meide Village's development in the new era requires collaborative efforts from multiple stakeholders.By focusing on the theme of"returning to overseas Chinese roots,"the village must consolidate strength,build consensus,and anchor its social development in both China's rural traditions and global social connections.
