摘 要:随着光纤通信的飞速发展,通信系统对光纤的性能提出了更高的要求,保偏光纤正逐步成为光纤通信系统中重要的一环。采用棒外气相沉积(OVD)工艺制备了一种几何尺寸精确、结构均匀的高质量少模保偏光纤(FM-PMF)。所制备的FM-PMF纤芯处平均双折射为4.45×10^(-4),1550 nm波长下2 m长光纤消光比约为31.0 dB,传输损耗为0.25 dB/km,且在C波段范围内可支持2种模式(LP01、LP11)的传输。该FM-PMF具有优异的性能,在光通信、光传感、光纤激光器等领域都有着重要的应用价值。With the rapid development of optical fiber communication,the communication system puts forward higher requirements for the performance of optical fiber.Polarization-maintaining optical fiber gradually becomes an important part of the optical fiber communication system.Using the outside vapor deposition(OVD)process,a high-quality few-mode polarization-maintaining fiber(FM-PMF)with accurate geometric dimensions and uniform structure is fabricated.The average birefringence of the FM-PMF core is 4.45×10^(-4),the extinction ratio at room temperature is 31.0 dB@1550 nm with 2 m fiber length,the transmission loss is 0.25 dB/km@1550 nm,and it can support the transmission of two modes(LP_(01),LP_(11))in the C-band range.The FM-PMF has excellent performance and has important application value in the fields of optical communication,optical sensing,optical fiber laser,etc.
