摘  要:《现代人》杂志历经了短暂的普希金时期(1836—1837)后,自1838年起进入普列特尼约夫时期(1838一1846)。作为主编,普列特尼约夫继承普希金以文学为核心的办刊传统,但也对《现代人》的栏目和内容加以革新,尤其对本国及西方国家的文学、历史、新闻、儿童问题、战争等各个方面予以关注,使《现代人》除文学性外呈现出新闻性和宫廷视角,实现了刊物的“公共媒介”性质。在19世纪30年代至40年代斯拉夫派与西欧派激烈争论的氛围中,《现代人》以冷静、务实的姿态看待俄国与西方之间的关系,虽然被冠以“不合群”“无个性”的评价,但它对待俄国与西方文学、文化并重的立场,显示了在狭隘的派别对立之外“先进文化至上”的理念,其温和的调性不失为一种具有韧性的力量和声音。Alexander Pushkin served as the editor-in-chief of The Contemporary for a short period of time from 1836 to 1837,and Peter Pletnyov became his successor since 1838 for the following nine years.He not only inherited Pushkin's tradition of focusing on literature as the main purpose of running journal publication,but also innovated the columns and content of The Contemporary,especially putting emphasis on various aspects related to Russian and Western literature,history,news,children's issues,war,etc.,so that the journal took on the journalistic and courtly perspective in addition to literariness,and became a"public platform".In the heated debate between Slavophiles and Westernizers in the 1830s and 1840s,The Contemporary took a calm and pragmatic position on the relationship between Russia and the West,although it was criticized for being"unsociable"and"characterless",but its stance on the equal importance of Russian and Western literature and culture demonstrated a concept that advocates advanced culture at a supreme status besides narrow factional oppositions,and its moderate tone was no less than a resilient force and voice.
