互联网使用对老年人抑郁症状的影响:基于认知功能和日常生活活动能力的链式中介效应

摘　　要：目的:探究互联网使用对老年人抑郁症状的影响,以及认知功能和日常生活活动能力在两者之间的中介作用。方法:基于2018年中国健康与养老追踪调查数据(CHARLS),筛选出符合的研究对象8168人,根据互联网使用得分情况、抑郁量表(CES-D10)、简易精神状态量表(MMSE)、日常生活活动能力(ADL)得分情况,应用PROCESS 3.3宏程序中的模型6检验链式中介模型。结果:(1)互联网使用、认知功能、日常生活活动能力两两显著正相关(r=0.241,0.101;P<0.001),老年人抑郁症状与互联网使用、认知功能、日常生活活动能力显著负相关(r=-0.136,-0.251,-0.339;P<0.001);(2)互联网使用可以直接负向影响老年人抑郁症状(β=-0.404,P<0.001),还可以通过3条间接路径影响老年人抑郁症状:认知功能的单独中介作用(β=-0.057,P<0.001)、日常生活活动能力的单独中介作用(β=-0.065,P<0.001)、认知功能和日常生活活动能力的链式中介作用(β=-0.024,P<0.001)。结论:互联网使用显著负向影响老年人抑郁症状,认知功能和日常生活活动能力在互联网使用和老年人抑郁症状间具有部分中介作用。Objective:To investigate the effect of internet use on depressive symptoms in older adults and the mediating effect of cognitive function and activities of daily living ability.Methods:Based on data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Survey(CHARLS)in 2018,8168 participants were screened for meeting the criteria,and according to the scores of Internet use,Center for Epidemiologic Studies depression scale(CES-D10),Mini Mental State Examination(MMSE),and Activities of daily living(ADL),the chain mediation model was tested through model 6 in the PROCESS 3.3.Results:①Internet use,cognitive function,and ADL were directly and positively correlated(r=0.241,0.101;P<0.001),and older adults'depressive symptoms were directly and negatively correlated with Internet use,cognitive function,and ADL(r=-0.136,-0.251,-0.339;P<0.001);②Internet use could directly and negatively predict older adults'depressive symptoms(β=-0.404,P<0.001),and there were three indirect pathways to affect older adults'depressive symptoms:cognitive function alone(β=-0.057,P<0.001),ADL alone(β=-0.065,P<0.001),and cognitive function and ADL chain(β=-0.024,P<0.001).Conclusion:Internet use significantly and negatively affects depressive symptoms in older adults,with cognitive functioning and ADL partially mediating the relationship between Internet use and depressive symptoms in older adults.
