摘　　要：英语作为全球最广泛使用的语言之一,在全球化背景下扮演着至关重要的角色。在开展外语专业建设和人才培养工作过程中,应重视提升学生对当代中国的理解和表达能力,为讲好中国故事奠定坚实基础。在探索POA产出导向法在“理解当代中国”英语读写教程中的具体应用,通过设计以任务为导向的教学活动,对“理解当代中国”读写课程的教学模式和实施路径进行研究和实践,有助于培养学生的语言运用能力、跨文化能力和思辨能力,从而为未来的英语教学实践提供了理论支持和实践经验。In the context of globalization,English,as a lingua franca,plays a crucial role.In the process of constructing foreign language majors and cultivating talents,it is essential to enhance students’understanding and expression of contemporary China,laying a solid foundation for telling Chinese stories well.This paper aims to explore the specific application of the POA(Production-Oriented Approach)in the book of“Understanding Contemporary China”(A Reading&Writing Course).By designing task-oriented teaching activities,the teaching model and implementation path of the“Understanding Contemporary China”will be discussed,which helps to cultivate students’language proficiency,cross-cultural competence,and critical thinking skills,providing theoretical support and practical experience for future English teaching practice.
