摘　　要：位于伦敦哈克尼区的Blockmaker's Arms早已不再是一家酒馆。早在20世纪70年代,这座位于Shepherdess Walk街转角的建筑就被改造成了一座包含三个住宅单元的多户住宅。伦敦的Erbar Mattes建筑事务所巧妙地将建筑下层的两个住宅单元合并成了一套宽敞的复式公寓。他们还将住宅后院改造成了一个城市花园,并在花园的边缘加建了一座建筑,新建筑表面覆盖的是人工烧制的炉渣砖。Blockmaker's Arms in the London Borough of Hackney hasn't bee n a pub any more for a long time.Already in the 1970s the cor-ner building on Shepherdess Walk was transtormed into housing with three residential units.The London-based architectural office of Erbar Mattes combined the two lower units into a maisonette apartment.They transtormed the backyard into an urban garden,bordered by an addition covered in handmade clinker.
