摘　　要：文章较系统地分析了城域光网络的概念、业务类型、核心部件和分层结构 ,并提出了传统电信运营商的城域光网络演进思路 .同时结合下一代网络 ( NGN)网络结构 。This paper systematically analyzes the conception, service types, core components and hierarchical structure of metro optical network, gives the evolution route of metro optical network for incumbent telecommunication carriers. At the same time, considering the NGN network structure, the paper points out that the optical packet switched network is the development trend of future metro optical network.
