摘　　要：和琳是中国历史上巨贪和王申的弟弟 ,因而历来被视为和王申同党。但纵观和琳一生 ,实非和王申可比。他以自己的才干受乾隆赏识 ,特别是在抗击廓尔喀的斗争 ,他作出了贡献 ,又为强化中央对西藏的治理而尽力尽责。As the younger brother of HE Shen who was the notorious greedy official in Chinese history, HE Lin was taken as the conspirator of HE Shen. Judging by his experience in the lifetime, however, HE Lin was far more excellent than his elder brother. He won the admiration of QianLong Emperor, and was highlighted by his contribution in the combat with the 廓尔喀. He also laid out himself in his discipline to strengthen the rule of central administration on Tibet. Overall, he was meritorious to strengthen the unification of our country.
