摘　　要：虚拟现实技术是计算机科学和信息科学交叉和融合,是21世纪信息科学领域最有发展前途的技术。受到国内外学术界、工程界人士的关注。这里介绍了虚拟现实系统的构成、分类、主要特征,虚拟现实技术在工程、科研、教育训练、军事等领域的应用及发展状况。Virtual Reality,which is the fusion of computer and information science,is thought to be the most advanced technology in the field of information science in 21st century.It has got academic attention worldwied.The paper introduces the basic constitution and classification and characteristic of Virtual Reality.It is also discussed that application and the development of Virtual Reality technology in the field of the engineering,science,educdation and military affairs.
