摘 要:“情”是近代狭邪小说《花月痕》、《青楼梦》、《绘芳录》的中心观念之一,小说作者不仅以开篇的“情”论醒目地标出,而且借小说人物或叙述者之口反复予以强调。三部小说都较好地处理了情与欲的关系,在狭邪风月的描摹中表现出重情斥欲、不涉淫亵的优雅风度,超赵了历来淫秽污臭的“风月笔墨”,但因对“情”的真正内涵的把握存在严重缺陷,不能摆脱自我中心主义倾向和用情资格论,因而难以达到《红楼梦》“将儿女之真发泄一二”的思想高度。Sentiments are part of the centralized concept expressed in the Chinese novels about prostitution such as Huayuehen (The Flower and the Moon), Qingloumeng (A Dream of the Singsong House) and Huifanglu (Record of Singsong Girls). Right in the prelude the authors clearly indicate what is meant by 'sentiments' which is emphatically repeated in the description of the characters and the related conversation. In the depiction of prostitutes' service personal sentiments are valued whereas sexual desires are debased. The gracefulness without obscene language is so outstanding that it brings the novels high above all the disgusting literary works about prostitution before them. However, because the implication of ' sentiments' fails to be correctly interpreted, the deviation from moral standards naturally gives rise to egoist tendency and the qualifications for the sentiments advocated in the novels,therefore the authors are unable to 'fully express the true love between a young man and a girl' ——the literary height reached by A Dream of the Red Chamber.
