摘　　要：论述刊次号的作用和编制原则,对已有的中文期刊刊次号的编制方法在号码选择、取号方法和号码组成方面进行分析比较,并在此基础上提出一种比较科学的刊次号编制方法——刊名四字四角号码法。The function of Chinese periodical numbers and the principles of their arrangement are discussed. The detailed analysis and comparision are made for the arrangement method of previous periodical numbers among the selection of numbers, the ways of obtaining numbers and the composition of numbers. Then a relatively scientific arrangement method of periodical numbers is put forward--the quadrangle numbers from the four words of periodical names.
