摘　　要：介绍了北京大学以地理信息系统为基本平台的一种地貌信息系统的基本构思、基础函数、数理模型、分析方法和应用。在此基础上,对地理信息系统的使用中经常出现的问题进行了讨论。This paper introduces the fundamental concept, basic functions, mathematical models, analyzing methods and applications of a landforms information system developed by Beijing University taking the geographical information system (GIS) as its basic platform. And based on this, this paper makes discussion on the problems often occurring in the application of GIS.
