摘　　要：张荫麟是一位颇有声望的现代史家,其平生志在通史,曾对通史编撰的重要性、史实的选择、统贯史实的"秩序"以及表述方式进行了较为系统的阐述。其资众手、决一人的编撰组织形式,对史实"笔削"标准的界定,对传统历史观的批判和对符合历史事实的历史理论的探求,以及对历史艺术性表述的重视等,均有独到见解,对编撰通史有启示意义。Zhang Yinlin was a famous historian in 20th century. He was devoted to general history all his life, so he expounded his viewpoints about the significance, the choice of historical events, the order of synthesizing historical events and the expressive way on the compilation of general history systematically. It is very original that his organizational pattern of depending on the masses and decided by one person, his definition to the standards of selecting historical events, his criticism to traditional historical viewpoints, his pursuit to historical theory of conforming to historical fact and his paying attention to the artistic nature of history. His theory is enlightening for the compilation of general history. 
