摘　　要：以南方炎帝为研究对象,对大量与炎帝有关的古籍、传说、遗迹和考古发现进行分析演绎,论证炎帝民族以"炎"为名的本意和深刻内涵。从而揭示出湖南炎帝传说的共性,一是以农耕文化起源为中心,二是以太阳与火的崇拜为主线,以此构成辉煌的炎帝文化。Yan Emperor separates into South Yan Emperor and North Yan Emperor.The article researched South Yan Emperor.It analysed and deducted large numbers of ancient books,legends,relics and archaeological discoveries concerning South Yan Emperor,and demonstrated the meaning of Yan,the title of Yan people,revealed the commonness of various legends of South Yan Emperor in Hunan.and reached the conclusion that the construction of the splendid culture of Yan Emperor took the culture of farming as a core,and the veneration of the sun and fire as the main line .
