摘　　要：Traditional vernacular dwellings of Miao Nationality in southeast Guizhou Province are reasonable and scientific in many aspects, such as site selection, construction, structure, direction, room layout, harmony between constructions and environment, moderate development of natural resources and so on, which demonstrate the ecological concepts of Miao people respecting the Nature, pursuing the harmonious coexistence between human beings and Nature. This study analyzed the gist of Miao people constructing vernacular dwellings, i.e. natural and harmonious ecological concepts, the principle of planning according to actual conditions, saving cost by utilizing local materials and sustainably developing architectural structure.1自然和谐的生态观念黔东南苗族村寨传统民居自然和谐的生态观念主要表现在保护山林和环境绿化等方面,在利用自然资源时注意了资源的繁衍和生态环境的保护,民居往往建在不宜耕种的坡地上,多筑台立基或建吊脚楼,极少大规模开挖山体平整地基,因而保护了大片的农田和山林植被。这在客观上使得人们向自然界索取较少,
