摘　　要：《东方朔传》是中国古代杂传中较早出现的一部散传作品 ,其成书年代当在西汉末至东汉初的一段时间里 ,当是汇集民间流传的有关东方朔的传说撰写而成 ,从散见于古文献神征引的《东方朔传》佚文看 ,其人物形象与叙事建构的虚构性说明该书具有了一定的小说品格。据此 ,我们认为 ,以《东方朔传》为代表的汉魏六朝杂传孕育了小说的胚胎 ,在中国古代小说的发生史上 。The Biography of DONGFANG Shuo is a work earlier handed down in ancient China and was written at the turn of the Western Han Dynasty and the Eastern Han Dynasty,a collection of the folklore about DONGFANG Shuo.According to the scattered ancient literatures extracting The Biography of DONGFANG Shuo,the image of the characters and the fabrication of the narrative structure have some features of novels.Therefore,we believe that the various biographies of which The Biography of DONGFANG Shuo is a typical example gave birth to novels and that it played a significant role in the history of Chinese ancient novels.
