摘　　要：PDF是Adobe公司开发的一种可以跨平台的文件格式。文中主要探讨了PDF文件格式的特点与应用 ,将其与PostScript进行了对比说明 ,并介绍了PDF的工具软件与PDF的制作和网上发布方法 ,以及如何利用PDF跨平台发行文件。PDF is one of document formats exploited by Adobe company, which can be viewed and printed across different platforms. The paper mainly discusses the characteristics and applications of PDF and compares it with PostScript. It also introduces the software tool of PDF and the methods to create PDF files and to publish them on Web, as well as the solution to use PDF to publish files across different platforms.
