摘　　要：图书馆银色信息服务业将是一个颇具潜力和外在客观基础的新领域。人口老龄化为图书馆发展银色信息服务提供了客观需要和外在的基础条件;图书馆的性质决定了它必须承担起这项特殊的社会义务。Silver-information service of library will be a new realm with great potential and objective foundation. Population aging is the objective requirment. and essential condition of the silve-information service of library. Therefore, library must undertake this special social service according to its nature.
