悍妇人格的个性解读——略论《醒世姻缘传》中的薛素姐

摘　　要：悍妇薛素姐任性率情地张扬了女性个体人格的自然欲望和天然本性,触犯了文化专制下的禁欲伦理和贞节道德,对伦理社会的人性禁锢、等级压迫形成破坏性威胁。作者西周生自觉的教化意图,阴差阳错地促成了薛素姐自觉的个性追求;而作者思想与历史文化的局限,又注定了薛素姐人格个性的先天不足和半路夭折。薛素姐个性的双重价值悖论表明,《醒世姻缘传》对明清叙事文学的个性解放主题,具有独到而值得肯定的价值意义。Xue Sujie, a termagent in the novel Marriage Rocking the World, is unique with her individuality. She follows the will and innate nature of female individual personality, defying the ethics of asceticism and chastity demanded by the cultural autocracy of her time as well as the shackles on individuality and the hierarchical rule in the traditional ethics - centered society of China. With a pedagoic intent, the author Xizhou Sheng portrays her as a woman pursuing her individuality, but the limitation in his thinking and historical knowledge determines its congenital deficiency and early demise. The paradox of the dual value in her personality shows that Marriage Rocking the World is of unique meaning to the theme of liberation of the self in the narrative literature at that time.
