摘  要:红河断裂带是一条走滑的活动断裂带 ,它控制着南海西北部的构造活动 ,也控制着莺歌海盆地的形成和演化。根据南海西北部中穿过莺歌海盆地的地震剖面和历史资料进行解释 ,结果表明 ,莺歌海盆地的形成可分 3个阶段 :自 50MaB .P .开始 ,沿红河断裂带的左旋错动和在印支地块的顺时针旋转的应力作用下 ,形成了莺歌海盆地的雏形 ;2 4MaB .P .之后在左旋压扭应力场作用下 ,形成了盆地西北部的反转构造 ;5MaB .P .之后发生了右旋错动 ,盆地内快速沉降 ,发育巨厚沉积层。根据盆地内最老和最新的沉积中心之间的距离 ,推测沿红河断裂带的左旋位错约 2 0 0km。该断裂带发展到现代 ,其活动性大为减弱 ,曾发生 1 0次小于 5级地震。The Red River Fault Zone is a large slide and active fault zone, which controls the tectonic activities of the northwestern South China Sea as well as the formation and evolution of the Yinggehai Basin. Explanation has been made based on the seismic profiles through the Yinggehai Basin and history data. The result indicates that there exist three evolutional stages for the Yinggehai Basin: at the beginning of 50Ma B.P., the rudiment of the Yinggehai basin formed under the stress action of the sinistral rotation slide along the Red River Fault Zone and the clockwise rotation of Indochina massif; since 24Ma B.P., the reverse structure formed in the northwestern basin under the action of the stress field of the sinistral rotation and compressive shearing; and since 5Ma B.P., the huge-thick sediment layer formed due to dextral rotation slip and quick subsiding of the basin. Based on the distance between the oldest and youngest depocenters in the basin, it is deduced that the sinistral rotation slip is about 200km along the Red River Fault Zone. In the modern times, the activity of the fault zone becomes weak and there has happened earthquakes of M s< 5 for 10 times.
