摘  要:介绍了上海天文台被动型小氢钟的设计和研制 ,给出了初步的测试结果。这种小氢钟应用了电极负载腔。在伺服环路上采用被动的工作方式和腔的自动调谐 ,用方波调制的方法得到误差信号。和传统的主动型氢钟相比 ,它的整体体积减小 ,重量降低。经过初步测试 ,这种被动型小氢钟的频率稳定度为σ(2 ,τ) =1 0× 10 - 1 1 τ- 1 2 (1s<τ <5× 10 4 s)。Miniature passive hydrogen maser is developed at Shanghai Observatory which employs compact cavity design and square wave frequency modulation. Electrode loaded resonant cavity is used in passive hydrogen maser to reduce the size. Other design in the physical part of the passive hydrogen maser is similar to the SOHM Ⅲ active hydrogen maser developed by Shanghai Observatory. Electronic part of the passive hydrogen maser comprises two frequency lock loops; 5 MHz crystal oscillator frequency is locked to the hydrogen emission line and resonant cavity frequency is locked to the crystal oscillator frequency. Square wave frequency modulation is used in both loops in order to avoid the even harmonics in the sine wave modulation. At present, the initial test is finished. Compared with the active hydrogen maser, we get a frequency stability of σ(2,τ)=1 0×10 -11 τ -1/2 (1 s< τ <5×10 4 s). Next we will do some work to improve the performance of the miniature passive hydrogen maser.
