摘　　要：扩展版科学引文索引是美国费城科学信息研究所出版的一种多学科检索工具 ,含有大量科学信息。本文详细介绍搜索这些信息的各种索引 ,选项 ,限定 ,链接和方式 ,对此检索工具的用途 ,从研究工作者的角度 ,结合实例做了介绍。The layout of Science Citation Index Expanded by ISI (Institute of Scientific Information) in Philadelphia, US, containing a huge amount of multi disciplinary scientific information searchable by using various indexes, options, limits, links and modes are fully described. Some uses of the powerful retrieval tool from the viewpoint of scientific researcher and worker are also illustrated with practical examples. The limitation of this tool as well as the guidelines for its proper use also explained.
