摘　　要：美国内战前的拥奴文学是美国文学的重要组成部分,它充满了对内战前美国南部奴隶制和奴隶主贵族精英的赞美和辩护以及对黑人种族的歧视和贬低。对这一时期拥奴文学的重要代表作家及其作品和作品中主要人物的特点以及对黑人的歧视性描述进行了分析和探讨。The Antebellum American pro-slavery literature is an inseparable p art of American literature.It is full of praises and defenses for the American antebellum slavery institution and its ruling class and also full of racial prej udice and discrimination to the blacks.The essay introduces the most important pro-slavery writers and has an overall analysis of the main characters and the racial discriminative descriptions in their writings.
