摘　　要：针对现代(智能)交通中的车牌自动识别系统给出了一种快速的车牌定位算法。该算法结合有效的图像预处理增强方法,通过对车牌一维字符特征搜索,能够快速地定位车牌。大量实验结果证明本算法定位速度快(<50ms, PII300),准确率较高(>95%)。A fast locating algorithm against an automatically recognizing vehicle number plate system in modern (intelligent) traffic is given. Combining with the effective image preprocessing and intensifying method, the algorithm can quickly locate vehicle number plate through searching for 1-D character characteristics of vehicle number plate. Large numbers of experimental results show that the algorithm has the advantages of fast locating speed (<50ms for PII300) and high percentage of accuracy (>95%).
