摘　　要：本文综述了磁液磁光效应的研究动态,报道了我们对其磁致双折射及其光学双稳特性的研究。实验表明磁液具有良好的红外传输特性,可用作新型红外磁光材料。This paper summerizes the recent development in the research of magneto-optical properties of ferrofluids and reports our studies of their magnetically induced birefringence and optical bistability. Experiments manifest that the ferrofluid thin films exhibit good infrared transmission and can be used as new types of magneto-optical materials.
