摘　　要：该文阐述地理编码(Geocoding)的技术应用和发展。首先从地理编码的定义出发,论述了它在地址定位和空间信息整合方面的作用。分析国内外地理编码技术的应用方法和领域,总结了它在应用方面存在的一些问题以及解决这些问题的方法和策略。探讨地理编码在实现数字城市空间信息的融合和共享方面的作用。This paper focused on describing the characteristics of geocoding's application and development in technology. Starting off with the definition of geocoding,this paper discussed the roles of geocoding in address location and integration of geospatial information. On the basis of research work on the methods and domains of geocoding applications in foreign countries, this paper summarized the correlative issues on its applications. These issues include the approaches and strategies to improve geocoding. At length, this paper analysed and probed into the application methods of geocoding to realize geospatial information fusion and share in Digital City.
