摘　　要：无线局域网(WirelessLAN,以下简称WLAN)是近年来发展迅速的无线数据通讯网,它提供了使用无线多址信道的一种有效方法来支持计算机之间的通信。其中1997年6月制定的全球第一个无线局域网标准IEEE802.11已经成为市场主流,但802.11的MAC协议的最初目的在于计算机之间的数据通信,对QoS的支持不够,有鉴于此,IEEE的groupE工作组制定了IEEE802.11eMAC标准(草案)用于加强对QoS的支持力度。本文阐述了IEEE802.11e增强型MAC协议的基本组成结构,并对IEEE802.11e增强型MAC协议与原802.11MAC协议在标准结构、QoS性能上做了详尽的叙述和分析。Today WLAN is rapidly developing in wireless communication.The IEEE802.11 standard which is draft in June 1997,has became leader in WLAN,its characteristics are their simplicity and robustness against failures due to the distributed approach.However,the interest in wireless networks supporting QoS has recently grown.Accordingly, the 802.11 Working Group draft IEEE802.11e MAC protocol to enhance the current 802.11 MAC protocol to support applications with QoS requirements. In this paper,we discuss the enhancements of the 802.11e supplement standard as they are specified in the latest draft and analysis the difference between 802.11 and 802.11e.
