摘　　要：简单介绍地理信息系统 (GIS)技术和国内外现状 ,指出现有城市管网和铁路站场地下管线管理中存在的问题 ,提出相应GIS系统的结构和应具有的功能、所需系统环境和基础数据 。A brief introduction is given of current situation of GIS technology both at home and abroad, and existing problem in management of urban underground pipelines and underground pipelines of railway stations and yards. A description is given of structure and function of GIS, and environment and basic data needed for the system, and major application of the system.
