摘　　要：数字化网络化导致大量多媒体信息资源的出现,而目前基于关键词的检索方法对于多媒体数据检索显得有些相形见绌,于是基于内容的多媒体信息存取检索技术应运而生。MPEG-7作为一个多媒体内容描述的标准,对多媒体信息进行标准化的描述,从而实现对多媒体内容快速有效的检索。The rapid development of network has resulted in increasing amount of multimedia resources, but the methods of retrieval based on keywords are not satisfying. We need more efficient methods to retrieval multimedia data, and content-based retrieval is an effort to handle this problem. The MPEG-7 standard, formally named 'Multimedia Content Description Interface', offers the richest set of audio-visual descriptions, which form the basis for applications enabling the so needed quality access to content, and fast, accurate and personalized filtering, search and retrieval.
