摘  要:通过微观测试研究单向玻璃纤维增强复合材料(FRP)的纵向压缩破坏。并建立一个与纤维体积、基体和纤维的性质有关的模型来预测FRP的纵向压缩强度,实验中,设计了一个特殊加载装置用来放在Leitz光学仪器下观察压缩破坏过程,观察到一些纤维首先弯折,然后引起相邻纤维弯折系列响应,最后导致整个试件压缩破坏。强度预测与实验结果吻合较好,结果表明当纤维有微挠度特别是有微弯曲时,压缩强度与基体的非线性有关。In this paper, the longitudinal compressive failure of the unidirectional glass fiber- reinforced composites(FRP) is studied by microscopic test. The process of the compressive failure is observed and analysed in details. A model is made to predict the compress strength of FRP. This model depends on the fiber volume, the characteristics of the matrix and fibers. In the experiment,a special fixture is deviced and made to observe the process of the compressive failure under the Leitz optical instruments. It is observed that some fibers kinking - buckling cause the adjacent fibers kinking - buckling and chain reaction, at last, the whole specimen fails in compression. Strength prediction is made . The prediction shows good agreement with the exeperimental data. The results show that the compressive strength depends on the properties of the nonlinear matrix when the fiber is in micro- deflection,especialy in initial microbuckling.
