摘　　要：随着多媒体技术和 Web技术的发展 ,出现了大量的多媒体数据。为了更好地管理和检索多媒体数据 ,我们需要一种描述多媒体内容的标准。本文首先分析了 MPEG- 7标准多媒体内容的描述工具 ,然后从结构和内容两个方面提出了 MPEG- 7描述多媒体内容的方法。最后 ,我们还讨论了一些与 MPEG- 7描述相关的研究问题。With the rapid development of multimedia and Web technology,a great deal of multimedia data has become available.For better managing and retrieving multimedia data,we need a standard for multimedia content description.In this paper,we present the tools specified by MPEG-7 standard for describing multimedia data.In particular,some methods are given for describing multimedia content with MPEG-7 from both the structural aspect and the semantic aspect.Finally,We also discusss some new research problems related to MPEG-7 description.
