摘　　要：城市化是国民经济和社会发展的火车头 ,是现代化的首要标志。加快城市化进程 ,既是福建率先基本实现现代化的战略选择 ,也是解决当前社会经济矛盾的有效途径。本文提出福建省城市化滞后的主要表现。Urbanization, the engine of national economy and social development, is the prim e symbol of modernization Speeding up urbanization, is not only a strategic ch o ice for Fujian province to take the lead in basically realizing modernization, b ut also an effective solution to the economic problems in current society This article presents the main characteristics of Fujian lagging behind in urbanizati on, offers the analysis of the reasons and puts forward several policies and mea sures to accelerate urbanization of Fujian province
