摘 要:A new synchronous DS-CDMA system em-ploying generalized orthogonal (GO) spreading codes and maximum ratio combining (MRC) scheme is presented in this paper. In particular, the forward link of the system is discussed in detail. The GO codes are used to combat the interference caused by multipath components. The aver-age correlation properties of GO codes are evaluated andthe signal interference ratio (SIR) expressions based on the Rayleigh and Racian fading multipath channel models are derived respectively. The link performance in terms of bit error rate (BER) is obtained for GO codes with different orthogonal zones by Gaussian Approximation and Monte-Carlo simulation respectively. The results reveal that the GO codes appear better BER performance than traditional orthogonal codes in synchronous CDMA systems, and the GO code with larger orthogonal zone exhibits larger per-formance gain.
