摘  要:在集中力量对骨干网和接入网进行改造以后,城域网成为了运营商网络发展的一个主要障碍,不仅缺乏灵活性、资源短缺,而且带宽利用率低。加之传统SDH操作的复杂性,使得基于SDH的城域网已无法再继续满足用户以及市场的需求。指出了传统SDH存在的弊端,介绍了一种改造运营商城域网以缓解其困境的方法,列举了下一代SDH技术的7个优势,并将其与城域以太网技术和DWDM技术进行了对比,最后指出下一代SDH将是运营商一个不错的选择。After the concentrated re-construction of backbone and access network,MAN has become one of the main obstacles for the operators' net-work development.It is not only lack of flexibility,in short of resources,but also poor in bandwidth utilization.Be-sides,the operation complexity of tradi-tional SDH makes SDH-based MAN can not meet the requirements of users and market any more.Disadvantages of traditional SDH are pointed out.A method that can modify operator's MAN to ease its dilemma is introduced,7advantages of next generation SDH technology are specified.Comparison is made between MAN Ethernet technol-ogy and DWDM technology.Finally,it is pointed out that next generation SDH will be a nice choice for operators.
