摘　　要：中国文化上的两难困境 ,即传统本位论和全盘西化论之间的对立和斗争 ,在文化学上的深层意蕴也就是文化相对主义和文化进化主义的对立。现代化不仅仅是经济、政治的现代化 ,而且还包括文化的现代化 ,而文化的现代化实质上也就是人自身的现代化。要走出这一困境 ,我们必须超越旧有的思维方式 ,才能实现现代化观念上的真正转变。From the perspective of science of culture, the Chinese cultural dilemma (i.e. antinomy and struggle between traditional departmentalism and global westernization,) lies in the opposition between cultural relativism and cultural evolutionism. Modernization includes not only the modernization of politics and economy but also that of culture, while the culture modernization essentially is the moderation of man himself. To get out of the dilemma, we must surpass the traditional way of thinking so that we can accomplish the transformation on the concept of modernization.
